The International Campus

Jesus gave the Church a mission: to take the Gospel to every nation. Here in the Mohawk Valley, the nations have come to us. One quarter of Utica’s residents were born in another country, and more than 35 languages are spoken here. This presents to us not only an obligation, but also a wonderful opportunity to share the love of Christ. In a very real way, we have a foreign mission field right in our own back yard.

Since Utica is an international city, and since more and more immigrants have been joining our church, it makes sense that we have an International Campus. In Christ we are one church, one family, and one community. However, we all need to worship and hear the Word in our own languages. So every weekend we hold services in Burmese and in Nepali. We are also excited about starting a service this year in Spanish.

In addition to spiritual needs, immigrants have many practical needs. We want to help with both. God cares about the needs of the foreigners living among us—and he expects us to care, too.

He gives justice to orphans and widows. He shows love to the foreigners living among you and gives them food and clothing. You, too, must show love to foreigners… (Deuteronomy 10:18-19)

Do not neglect to show hospitality to strangers… (Hebrews 13:2-3)

That is exactly what we want to do through this ministry as we build the Kingdom of God among the international populations of Utica by proclamation and demonstration of the love of God and the Good News of Jesus Christ.

This section of our website is designed to keep you informed and involved in what is going on at our International Campus.  Check out the navigation links on the right side of the page and jump right in.
